I've been playing guitar since the age of 15. Growing up in Green, Ohio I formed and joined a number of bands while in high school (Class of 1985) and as an undergraduate at Kent State University (Class of 1994). As a bass player, guitar player, sound and lighting technician I rocked my way through the 80s and early 90s. Those were the good ol' days-when you could actually hear a huge variety of live music in the area seven nights a week! I left for graduate school in 1994 (Miami University, Political Science M.A. 1995, ABD 1998) but returned to northeast Ohio several years later to start a family. I work and teach at a local university, but playing live music is my passion. Since moving back I've been a solo artist, a guest in several local bands and now a member of Northeast Ohio's premier guitar rock band, Sonic Anthem. I'm looking forward to spending the next few decades wearing out frets on small stages, writing and recording songs, staying active, teaching and learning and watching my three boys grow up. Rock on everyone!
